A card made with colorful poinsettias to bring holiday cheer to someone special.

Making these colorful poinsettias for this Christmas card is one of my favorites. Of course, every card I make becomes a favorite. It’s the joy of being creative. And when a card turns out this stunning, it’s even better.

The colorful poinsettias were stamped out and cut with the Recollections stamp and die set. It’s a nice set to have. But the big flower I did fussy cut.

I colored these colorful poinsettias with my Prismacolor pencils. And did they ever turn out with popping color? The reds I used were: 925, 924, 923, 926, and 221. The leaves were in the colors of green were: 908, 909, 109, 910.

One note on the coloring. This takes a bit of practice. You can always stamp and cut several of the flowers to give you the practice you need. And you can play around with the colors any way you want. Like a pink poinsettia would make a gorgeous card also.

The holly backdrop is cardstock from Cricut which went perfect with this card.

Season’s Greetings was stamped and then embossed with emerald embossing powder.

Red gems complete the picture. I also added some red gems to my poinsettia for the berries, but in hindsight, it might have been prettier with yellow gems. But even so, I think it looks beautiful with the red.
