Lately, I’ve been trying to learn how to make my own SVG’s to use for my cards. It’s a bit of a challenge learning the Adobe Illustrator software.
But this is the first design I’ve created. Of course, it’s not perfect but you have to start somewhere to improve, right?
With practice I hope to get better and I’m sure I will. Then I can share with you.
So for this card, I started with a backdrop of a patterned cardstock that I purchased from Cricut. They do sometimes have the best patterned cardstock.
I then took the design I made of the jar and the flowers. Of course, the flowers were a little blah so I had to spice them up. I used 12X12 cardstock and a Stampin’Up! flower punch. The little blue flowers were cut with a flower punch by Fiskars. They were topped with purple gems.
The blue glitter paper is from Cricut also.
The word blessings is also my design. I wanted it attached to the jar but it didn’t work out that way. So I glued it onto a light blue cardstock so it would stand out more.
