Make A Successful Business With This Number 1 Tool

Business tools. As a business owner or someone dreaming about owning an online business, we know there are tools. But we also, if starting, don’t have a ton of money to get those tools.

And frankly, it is all a little bit confusing.

But the number one tool everyone needs no matter what the business they are running is the mindset.

Are you groaning? Or are you thinking oh come on? That’s a cop-out. I’ve come to read this blog to get tips and tricks, and you dragged me in with the title.

Sorry, but it’s true. We hear how hard it is to run a business; online business is hard. That it takes a while to get it going, and that is why you need the right mindset.

By having the right mindset, you will be able to master the hard times and enjoy the joyful times.

So What Is The Right Mindset?

We’d like to believe that life should be all about rainbow and kittens, but let’s be real. Life isn’t like that, and sometimes we can get smacked in the face. Happiness is far from attainable.

This year I got one of those smacks in the face. I came home from a personal development conference, ready to stop putting everything ahead of building my business and found my husband ill like extremely ill.

For the next three months building, my business was far from my mind. Instead, my mission became to get my husband well again. He went from the hospital to a nursing home, back to the hospital, and back to the nursing home. It was two months before he could come home, and even then, he needed my care.

There will be times that your business may have to take a back seat. I was fortunate enough to have a full-time job still. My business plan didn’t happen. I did always come home and do some training, and I tried to keep up with this blog. But the money I was looking for didn’t happen.

My mindset could have taken the turn to this is never going to happen. I could have wallowed and felt sorry for myself. But I was so focused on getting my husband back on his feet, and I didn’t let myself go there.

Instead, I made a pact to get back to business after this season passed.

When Life Happens

Life will happen. It just will. Expect it. You don’t have to lose sight of what you desire. Ask the Universe for grace to help you get through a hard time. Thank the Universe for this new lesson and then learn.

This new lesson will bring out the best in you if you demand it of yourself. Make a promise that you will get through this next life challenge, and at the end of it, you’ll use what you’ve learned as a business tool. How can you apply it to the business that you are pursuing?

Each hardship we go through brings more to your life. It’s a hard pill to swallow sometimes. I used to let difficulty make me angry. The pity party would start, and all that did was make my dreams further away. Don’t waste your days on those pity parties. I’m now 57, and sometimes I think it’s too late, and I wasted precious time.

That’s not true. Those hardships have made me stronger. What my husband went through has strengthened my family. It gave me the lesson that no one can hold me back, no one can stop me, but me.

When The Season Ends

Once the season ends, you will want to be able to dive back into your business. Or maybe the season was building your business, but it wore you out. After the hard season comes a flowing season, don’t let your subconscious tell you that it’s over, and you should hang it up.

Change that mindset to have this lesson make you stronger.

Use Your Mindset As Your Business Tool

If you have a positive mindset, you’ll be able to look at what is not working for you and change it. Your mindset can tell you if you are going down the negative path and reroute you. You’ll feel it in your body if you aren’t in the right mindset. Maybe your teeth will tighten as mine do. Or you hunch your shoulders. Whatever it may be, check your body. Could you take a deep breath and let it go? Turn your mind to something positive. Lift yourself out of that.

It’s hard to white knuckle your way through the day if you are feeling low. You won’t want to do anything with your business or your life for that matter. Unless you use your mindset as the perfect business tool.

Mindset And Clarity

It is easy to get on someone else’s train and do what they say works for them. But then you hear of another tool you should be using that is better. Oh, but this one is better.

When your vibe is low, it’s harder to get that clarity because you aren’t at the top of your game. And it’ll be easier to follow someone else. Know yourself. It’s always good to get a coach or a mentor. I don’t mean that you should ignore all the good advice out there.

Find someone to follow that is in your industry and listen to them. Be sure to know where you are in your business versus where they are.

Then use your positive mindset to lead you to where you are right now. It will lead you to the best tools that will be right for your business and your wallet.

It sounds a little wonky, I know. But when your feeling low, it’s hard to make the right decision. So if you feed the mind the correct information and content, it’ll help you make better decisions.

That is why I believe that the number one business tool is your mindset.
