Have you ever had this inner voice that talks to you? People think you’re crazy, but be we all have it. Some are just too embarrassed to admit it.

I was one of those. I grew up in the 70’s, and it wasn’t normal to acknowledge the whisper inside of me. I’ve had full-on conversations with it. And yes, I thought I was crazy and was too embarrassed to admit it.

But now in, the age of Law of Attraction, I realize that I wasn’t crazy at all. It’s my subconscious talking to me. And your’s talks to you too.

Use the power of your inner voice to led you to life success.

Listen To Your Inner Voice

It’s when that inner voice in your head is telling you something that you don’t want to hear. And you ignore it. It is natural for it to try and lead you to safety, but not necessarily happiness. Because we have to push ourselves out of our comfort zone to be happy. And just the thought of that makes people’s stomach tighten.

Like admitting that maybe you talk to yourself all the time. But that isn’t a bad thing. It might look weird, but it’s a way to control the lizard brain that pops up to protect you.

In Marie Farlo’s book It’s All Figureoutable, she tells how she couldn’t stay in a job when she was younger because of her inner voice as telling her that it wasn’t the job she was to do.

Had you’ve had that? You should get the book by the way. But I’ve have had that for the last 10 years or so.

Let The Inner Voice Get You Unstuck

I’ve started and stopped so many businesses before they even got a chance to make it because I kept hearing that voice. It’d tell me you’re not on the right track yet, but you’re getting closer.

My writing fell to the wayside because that voice was telling me that I wasn’t a romance writer. And I fought that notion because I’ve written and published 6 romance books. But it was right.

I’ve started this blog with different niches over and over again. I knew I wanted to help people, but I didn’t feel qualified. But here I am again, trying to help women who are in their 50’s and still want it all. But like me, they’ve never been able to get started.

So if you hear that voice, I encourage you to figure it out. There are so many books out there on self-help to help you.

Marie’s book is one. There is a Ken Coleman podcast that I listen to, and it’s based around his book The Proximity Principle. He also helps you narrow down what you want to do and how to find your sweet spot.

Lean Into Happiness

Do you really believe that you’re supposed to go through life, only being happy half the time? If you have a 9 to 5, you already spend most of your day there, and if it doesn’t light you up, what’s the point?

Because in your 50’s I believe that we were supposed to do what we want. Especially if you’ve raised your kids and devoted your time to them. Or if you’ve taken care of your parents, it should now be all about you.

You can only give so much before you need to take care of your own desires. They won’t go away.

We only have so much time on this earth. And now, at this age, you see so much death around you. It gets scary. But don’t dwell on that. Concentrate on living the life you always were meant to live.

What is your heart always calling you to do?

What If You Don’t Know What That Is?

Ask yourself, what did you always dream of doing as a child?

When you were a kid, you had no perceived notions of how to earn money. You just figured it was there. There was no doubt in your mind that you couldn’t have it all. Your wants would be met somehow.

Is this something you still want to pursue? Do you ever wish that if you could do it all over again, that you had?

Once you feel that excitement again, because you’ve decided what you want, it’s time to plan. Decide what you’ll need to achieve this newfound goal.

Is it schooling? Can you do that while you are working full time? Because at 50, you don’t want to go into debt.

And maybe you need to get out of debt first before you can take the big leap. Concentrate on how you can do that.

Figure Out What You’ll Need First To Get Started

When you have figured out what you need to do, you’ll need to decide what you need to learn. If it’s a business, you’ll need to learn how to do it online. What tools you’ll need for that.

Google them and see what you can do for free. Or find a recommended course to get you started.

What technical skills or programs will you need?

And watch YouTube videos. These are free and will help you with some of the information.

Pick an expert in the field and concentrate on their suggestions. There is so much info out there that can contradict one another. Info that is the same from more than one source is more than likely an excellent place to start.

Then once you’ve made some traction, you can pick another mentor that aligns with what you’ve already put into practice.

We live in a world of technology and information at our fingertips that there is no reason not to pursue what you want. The only excuse you can have is your too afraid to go after it. Fear is a whole different animal that you’ll have to address.

Don’t let fear step in and keep you from being happy.

But whatever you do, don’t let fear step in and keep you from being happy. Because if you continue to ignore the tiny voice inside you, or you quit, you’ll be haunted. It’ll affect you and your mood. It’ll change your future and those around you.

It’s not easy, but this is important to your wellbeing. You owe it to yourself to go for it.
